Event Arenas

Our experience in building arenas with the right surface isn’t limited to private facilities. We are experts at preparing and maintaining surfaces that see hundreds of rounds a day. The list of equestrian events we have done work for includes some of the biggest and most prestigious in the country. Some of the events include Pennsylvania National, Washington International, Capital Challenge, Devon, Upperville, and Global Champions Tour New York.

Capital Challenge

Upper Marlboro, MD

Capital Challenge Horse Show is a prominent event held at the Prince George’s Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, MD. We handle the footing as well as the drainage, custom arches, custom building of photo-op areas, seating, paver entrances in the outdoor arenas, and building and installation of new Show Place Arena gates. You can see some of the transformation photos below. More and more, reusing or repurposing is part of what we do at DJL. From buying bulk waste fibers eco-sourced to this paddock way at Capital Challenge to the old UVA sports turf being used to manage mud. Ring entrance pavers are made from 100 percent recycled tires.
